Business, Accounting, Marketing Programs

  • Students will develop skills in business plan development, market analysis, financial forecasting, team leadership, and problem-solving.   • Launch a rewarding career in healthcare administration with the Medical Office Administration Diploma Program at Oulton College in Moncton, New Brunswick. Designed for those who want to work on the frontlines of medical offices, clinics, and hospitals, this program combines administrative training with real-world skills essential to today’s healthcare environments.

  • Students will develop competencies in sales planning and execution, content creation, marketing, lead generation, negotiation, and identifying new business opportunities.     What will be taught during the program?

    Our Early Childhood Education/Educational Assistant program provides hands-on practical experience and training in:

    • On-site observations, visitations and assessments during the course of study.
    • Assignments and creative projects that can be used in the field.
    • New Brunswick Curriculum Framework Training.
    • Certification in ASIST: suicide intervention.
    • Certification in CPI: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

Healthcare, Wellness, Pharma Programs

  • Dental Assistants are health care professionals that serve an integral part of the Dental Health Professional Team. You will graduate from this program with the skills and training you need to provide general oral health care, including preparing and maintaining dental instruments, dental charting, exposing dental radiographs, applying fluoride and a host of other duties.

    You’ll have the opportunity to apply and practice skills learned in the classroom in our state-of-the-art dental clinic. With the guidance and the expertise of our instructional team of Dentists, Assistants, and Hygienists, you will have access to a learning environment that promotes your success! While there is a strong classroom and clinical practices component to this program, what sets the Oulton experience apart is the level of hands-on practical experience and training in:

    • Procedures: assisting with dental procedures, preparing instrument tray set-ups and mixing dental materials, taking preliminary impressions, polishing teeth, taking and developing x-rays, placement of rubber dams, etc.
    • Community Experience: our clinic serves over 2,500 clients annually.

    Will I get to have experience outside of the college clinic?

    On top of practicing your skills in the dental clinic, this program includes a 5-week Practicum where you will learn to work within a team, develop relationships, and learn the day to day practices of local dental offices. You will graduate from this 10 month accredited program with the opportunity to write the National Examination providing you with the ability to be licensed nationally.

  • The field of dental care is constantly growing and advancing, and with that growth has come a need for well-trained dental hygienists. With new developments in technology and new techniques, many of the procedures common in today’s dental offices didn’t even exist 20 years ago! Our program was developed with this level of innovation in mind, maintaining the highest standards and we are proud to be one of only two schools in Atlantic Canada accredited by the . Our curriculum is based on national and provincial standards and 100% of our students were successful on last year’s National Examination. We build your knowledge in the classroom, but the real learning happens in our state of the art dental clinic. With the expertise of our team at your fingertips, we go beyond foundational skills to prepare you for success. Over 20 weeks spent in a combination of classroom, clinic, and practicum, you forge the relationships and connections needed to land your dream job, all while developing your confidence, skill set, and experience. At the end of the program, our students have the opportunity to write the National Examination, the last step in becoming a licensed Dental Hygienist.

  • This ten-month accredited program is recognized by the Health Standards Organization (HSO) and Accreditation Canada through their EQUAL Canada program. With a growing demand for Medical Laboratory Assistants, Oulton College collaborates closely with leading hospitals and regional laboratories to ensure our graduates are highly skilled and job-ready right after their practicum.

  • Designed for students who are passionate for research and laboratory work. A comprehensive program that prepares students to perform complex lab tests and analyses. Graduates are eligible for national certification and employment in diagnostic labs.

  • Oulton College’s Practical Nurse program is fully accredited by the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN). This accreditation ensures that our curriculum meets provincial standards and prepares students for professional practice. Upon graduation, students are eligible to write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) and, if successful, apply for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New Brunswick and other participating provinces.

  • The Oulton College Primary Care Paramedic Program will prepare you for a career dealing with high-intensity, fast-paced emergency situations. Our Primary Care Paramedic program provides hands-on practical experience and training in:

    • Paramedical science, both practical and theoretical, giving the ability to deliver reflexive medical care.
    • Human anatomy and physiology, gaining the knowledge necessary to assess the human body and its state of wellness.
    • The ability to think on your feet, understanding psychology and non-violent crisis inter-vention.
    • Safe and effective patient lifting and transfer techniques.
    • Critical thinking and rescue procedures necessary to quickly and effectively deal with medical and traumatic emergencies.
    • Defensive driving techniques in our training ambulance.
    • Physical fitness and wellbeing.

    During the 15-month program you will train in the classroom, in on-site labs, and also different offsite clinics. You will participate in approximately 12-16 weeks of clinical and practicum expe-rience in offsite settings, to allow for demonstrating effective performance as a paramedic team member.

Human & Social Services, CSW Programs

  • The Human Service Counsellor program is a 15‑month, full‑time in‑class, and on‑campus program that prepares students to become a professional in the human services industry. The curriculum provides the foundation for both clinical practice and research in human service counselling. Students gain valuable experience through supervised practicums, internships, and field placements in community agencies. Employment fields include Residential Care Worker, Adult or Family Support Worker, Street Intervention Worker, Gerontology Worker, Victim Support Worker, Crisis Intervention Counselor, Community Outreach Worker.

Legal, Policing Programs

  • This program prepares you for employment in law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and legal clinics throughout Moncton and the broader New Brunswick region, providing crucial support to lawyers and the legal system. Key learning outcomes include proficiency in legal research and writing, understanding of legal procedures, effective case management, and adherence to legal ethics.

    The Oulton College Paralegal/Legal Assistant Diploma Program allows our students to experience the excitement and high-stakes world of law. Paralegals and Legal Assistants are an essential part of the legal team, as soundboards, researchers, you will be tasked with assisting lawyers in all major areas of law, including civil litigation, criminal, family, estates, corporate and property. You will be taught how to prepare legal correspondence and court documents to a high professional standard, and trained to research case law and statutes to be able to apply that research in case studies. Our graduates work primarily with lawyers to help manage their client files and prepare for court proceedings, but that is not the only path open to you as a grad. The skills you obtain with this diploma will also prepare you for work in corporate legal departments, government agencies, insurance companies, and real estate agencies. You will be taught by experienced legal professionals who will give you the insight and training necessary to succeed in a legal career. Our instructors will ensure that you master the required skills through extensive practice, collaboration, and real-world experiences.

    Our Paralegal/Legal Assistant Diploma Program provides comprehensive instruction in:

    • Legal Transcription: using the latest technologies required in today’s law offices
    • Law Office Procedures: preparation of legal documents, legal office procedures, legal accounting, etc.
    • Legal Theory: introduction to the common law legal system, the criminal law process, family law, contracts, torts, corporate law and property law.
    • Legal Research: how to research cases and statutes using a legal database
    • Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
    • Advanced Keyboarding: proper keyboarding techniques, mastery of the keyboard, and operation of the computer.

    Once you have the skills, then it’s time to put them to the test! Upon completion of 9 months of classroom instruction, you will be placed for a 2-week practicum in a legal office in order to gain hands-on, practical experience in the industry.

  • Policing & Corrections Foundation

    This program prepares students for careers in law enforcement and correctional services. It includes training in criminal law, community policing, and correctional practices. Use of Force Simulation Training prepares students to manage conflict and communicate clearly while understanding limitations and appropriately applying force when necessary.

Technology, Networking Programs

  • Students learn key systems management skills like infrastructure, operating systems, network, and security management. The cybersecurity program also covers threat analysis, incident response, audits, penetration testing, and cryptography—building strong network security and cybersecurity skills for careers in information technology. With a comprehensive curriculum, you’ll be prepared for the growing demand in the tech industry.

Travel, Tourism, Hospitality Programs

  • Who’s ready to travel? Pack your bags and take your seat while we prepare you for a career in one of the coolest, fastest-growing industries in the world. The Travel and Hospitality Diploma Program will not only have you choosing a career your friends will be jealous of, but we will also ensure that you receive training that will prepare you for industry-specific certifications such as Tourism Certified Professional (TCP) and EMERIT certified professional designation Our graduates have found careers as travel agents, flight attendants, reservation specialists, and conference and event planners. They are employed in hotels worldwide, the cruise ship industry, and the food and beverage industry.

    Our Travel & Hospitality program provides hands-on practical experience and training in:

    • Travel Fundamentals: booking trips, organizing tours and the logistics of travel
    • Geography: basic knowledge of the most popular tourist destinations, including tips for you to help make travel safe and easy for your clients
    • Sabre: the automated system used by travel agencies and many airlines
    • Tariff and Ticketing: the rules and regulations of airline booking
    • Flight Attendant Course: the day-to-day life of a flight attendant
    • Hospitality Management: running the operations of hotels and conventions
    • EMERIT/TCP/CITC: first stages of the designation of a Certified Reservations Agent, Tourism Certified Professional and Canadian Institute of Travel Counselors

    You will also be given chances to put your skills to the test during volunteer activities including the World Wine and Food Expo, SoupFest, and other major local events

Veterinary, Animal Services Programs

  • Whether you’re passionate about helping animals or seeking a fast-track into the veterinary field, this program gives you the foundational knowledge and practical skills to work as a veterinary assistant in New Brunswick and beyond. Throughout your training, you’ll learn essential skills in animal handling and restraint, grooming, surgical prep, laboratory support, and client communication. You’ll practice in our fully equipped veterinary lab and gain real-world experience through clinical placements in Greater Moncton animal care facilities.

  • As a vital member of the veterinary team, you’ll gain essential skills in ensuring the health care of companion animals and more. In addition to clinic and surgery skills development, you will also learn how to manage the day-to-day operations of a veterinary clinic. Veterinary Technicians provide both customer service and patient care as part of their everyday duties, and you’ll learn to deliver animal health knowledge and provide comprehensive care.
